What can you say about stand up comic, Justin Luke? If you figure anything out, email our editor at ImpoliteSTL@gmail.com. We’d appreciate your help!
Justin is part of the duo who brings us the monthly comedy experience, Picnic Time. It’s a ridiculously fun show you should attend as often as possible.
How long have you been performing stand up?
Almost 4 years now.
Who are your biggest comedy influences?
Bo Burnham, Richard Pryor, Hannibal Burress, Demetrius Martin, and Donald Glover.
Describe your worst experience on stage.
I did a show before some metal bands at Cusamano’s once. I was the last comedian to go up and nobody was listening to the other comedians and I just went up and yelled at everybody for being assholes. I went home immediately after. I don’t feel good about it.
What’s your best on stage experience?
Recently I was doing a show in Denver and I riffed a really morbid joke about beating up dead bodies. Chris Gerhard said he really enjoyed it. I’m proud of that.
What’s your favorite thing about the St. Louis comedy scene?
I just love everybody in this scene man. Everyone is doing something cool and different and I’m glad to know so many smart and talented people.
Is there anything you’d like to say to the people sitting in the coffee house where I’m typing up this list of questions?
Y’all eat ass?
Rank in descending order of coolness: Pirate, Ninja, Zombie, Robot
Pirates are lame AF. Zombies are whatever. Robots are cool. Ninjas are fucking dope.
Cake or Pie?
Pie. Cake can be too filling.
