Comedian Larry Greene can be found performing around the St. Louis area. He also hosts a number of shows as part of Hi-Larry-Ous Comedy. Not only is he a funny comic, he responded faster than anyone else to our questionnaire. Punctuality is such a rare thing in stand up comedy, we thought we’d highlight it.

Dick Gregory, Redd Foxx, Dave Chappelle
Describe your worst experience on stage.
The mics didn’t work at one of my comedy shows. I had a packed house and I had the audience waiting for 30 minutes, which felt like forever. After finally getting a mic to work, with very poor quality, I was approaching a punchline when I realized the venue’s T.V.’s were still on. I lost my mojo and went ahead and brought up the next comic.
Describe your best experience on stage.
One of my best experiences on stage was when I got 2nd place in the Gloves Off Comedy Competition. I was very high energy. I had consistent laughs. My improv was flowing, and I was able to tag my jokes a few times.
What do you like best about the St. Louis Comedy scene?
My favorite thing about St. Louis comedy is the challenge. I really believe if I can succeed here I can succeed anywhere.
