It’s never going to stop raining ever. It’s going to be dark and gloomy outside forever, but a bright spot can be seen – It’s St. Louis Comedy! Boy, is that hokey. We hope you all are dry and safe and you didn’t have to boat to Fenton or anything like that. Six Flags opened a new water park! We know that’s crass, but it’s ripe comedy. Enjoy it! Come out to any of these fine St. Louis Comedy shows and be dazzled by everyone’s flood jokes!
Palomino Open Mic (10:30PM, The Palomino Lounge 5876 Delmar Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63112) – This spot is going to be hot. It’s right across the street from the Loop Trolley station. You’ll laugh now about it, but this place is going to be a destination and the bartender Michael Jackson, who offers the best critique of a comic’s set will be a star! Check it out now!
WordUp (7PM, 5249 Delmar Blvd, 5249 Delmar Boulevard
St. Louis, MO 63108) – Maybe you want a mix of entertainment? WordUp welcomes not just comics, but poets, singers, musicians, and more! Plus, there’s a cash prize!
Bar 101 Open Mic (8 PM, Bar 101 Soulard, 3rd and Lafayette, 1724 South Broadway, St. Louis, MO 63104) – Soulard needed a wash and we’re glad it got it. Stay high and dry at Comedy 101 hosted by Josh Slobe on its new night. It’s a really nice showroom! Do not go into the hallway by the women’s restroom because they consider the hallway part of the restroom. Confusing!
Wild Card Wednesday Night Comedy (10:30PM, The Crow’s Nest, 7336 Manchester, St. Louis, MO 63143) – No one knows what’s going to happy at Wild Card! Is a comic going to have to do their newest, roughest jokes or are they going to have to perform without a mic? Come find out!
Death Mic Competition Showcase (8PM, The Boom Boom Room, 500 N 14th St, St. Louis, MO 63103) – For the month of April, open mic runners kept track of how often comics performed and we took the comedians who performed the most and stuck them on a showcase! A literal participation trophy!
Coffee Break with Ken Warner (7:00PM, Foam, 3359 S. Jefferson St. Louis, MO 63118) – Who loves business casual and jazz? That’s a real pickup line host Ken Warner uses and every month, he puts together a lineup of stellar ladies and fine lads at the coolest place on Cherokee to get coffee and beer.
Fitz’s Comedy Night (10PM, Fitz’s Comedy Night, 6605 Delmar Blvd University City, MO 63130) – Get sodalogged on Fitz’s famous root beer and then enjoy a whole night (the whole thing) of comedy. The longest running open mic in the city attracts all the best and the riff raff! It’s an open mic!
Comedy legend Dick Gregory will be at Helium on 5/14. What an amazing way to spend a Mother’s Day! It’s what I’m doing. Ben Bailey, host of Cash Cab (Yeah!), is at the Westport Funny Bone all weekend!
