Seriously, did you see the president touching that crazy orb? He’s got more in common with Cobra Commander now than Abraham Lincoln. Of course, Russia wasn’t involved with that orb thing, so he’s got that going for himself. Some relief! Let’s take some time off from the constant, never ceasing news cycle and enjoy St. Louis Comedy.
Comedy Shipwreck Open Mic (10PM, The Heavy Anchor, 5226 Gravois Ave St. Louis, MO 63116) – Get onboard with open mic comedy at the Shipwreck. Don’t jump ship, there’s $1 PBRs! (Wow, we should do more ship puns for this) Pirates!
Shut Up During The Movie: Mazes and Monsters (9PM, The Heavy Anchor, 5226 Gravois Ave St. Louis, MO 63116) – These movies weren’t good to begin with. Enjoy these pieces of cinematic trash the way they were meant to be with comics and movie fans ripping them apart.
Bar 101 Open Mic (8 PM, Bar 101 Soulard, 3rd and Lafayette, 1724 South Broadway, St. Louis, MO 63104) – It’s every Tuesday now! Ignore the flyer on this page. It’s still got a great variety of local St. Louis comedians and a jovial host.
Palomino Open Mic (10:30PM, The Palomino Lounge 5876 Delmar Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63112) – I’d describe this as a swanky mic. It just feels classy. Plus, it’s right across from the new trolley station. This place is going to blow up.
Wild Card Wednesday Night Comedy (10:30PM, The Crow’s Nest, 7336 Manchester, St. Louis, MO 63143) – Totally unrehearsed and totally unexpected, Wild Card subjects comics to an array of challenges that push them out of their comfort zones!
Once Upon A Time Improv (8PM, The Monocle, 4510 Manchester Ave St Louis, MO 63110) – Featuring Joshua Michael Slobe and Libbie Higgins, Once Upon A Time takes you on an improvised journey through the world of the mystical and fantastic.
Picnic Time (8PM, The Monocle, 4510 Manchester Ave St Louis, MO 63110) – See Chicago darlings Tyler Snodgrass, Carly Ballerini, and Blake Burkhart with St. Louis comedy sweethearts Tina Dybal and Casey Paulsen. This show has no gimmick to exploit!
Contraceptive Comedy (8PM, Shameless Grounds, LLC, 1901 Withnell Ave St. Louis, MO 63118) – Often named the best comedy show in the city, by it’s founder, an old man in a hat, we’re confident that this is the only comedy show that takes place in a sex positive coffee shop. It’s also been packed wall to wall for months, so don’t miss out!
Hang out with your kids!
