One of the problems a lot of comedy scenes deal with is the tension that exists between the local comedy clubs and the comics who put on DIY shows around their city. St. Louis is lucky enough to have three clubs comics can get work in, and who aren’t antagonistic towards indy shows. Not only that, all three have regular open mics and showcases that only feature local talent.
Reggie Edwards is a rapper and stand up comedian in the St. Louis scene. He’s a regular host at the St. Louis Funny Bone, where he just won their 2016 Comedy Contest.
Max Price is one of the finalists in the St. Louis Funny Bone’s 2016 Annual Comedy Competition. He can be found performing on a lot of showcases around town, and is the host of a new regular showcase at the Funny Bone, as well as his own indy showcase at Sappington Lounge.
