Focus On The Funny LLC is bringing funny original comedy, live at The Laugh Lounge STL for the TROY Center! Monday May 21st. Doors open at 7pm Show Starts at 8pm over by 930!

T.R.O.Y stands for truly reviving our youth.
The T.R.O.Y Center was inspired by the loss of Troy Taylor in 2000 due to gun violence in Ferguson, Mo. The T.R.O.Y Center seeks to be a source of refuge and support.

We’ll be raising money for youth seeking higher education. This years recipient is Kaylei Taylor. Kaylei Taylor is the daughter of Troy Taylor who will be graduating from highschool, May of this year. So we’ll be making people laugh all for a worthy cause. Tickets are available for $5 in advance which can be purchased online. $10 at the door. All proceeds go to the Truly Reviving Our Youth Center.

The Laugh Lounge Opens This Week

In 2004, in an article about St. Louis comedy powerhouse, Jessie Taylor, there’s a point towards the end of the article where Ben Westhoff writes of Jessie:

“Taylor dreams of opening what he says would be St. Louis’ first black comedy club.”

The statement seems prescient, as this week Jessie Taylor announced the soft opening of The Laugh Lounge, his new comedy club.  This new club promises to be home the city thriving urban comedy scene, but Taylor isn’t limiting the reach of his audience or comic base.
