We’re spending the next month or so profiling the comics in the St. Louis scene. We’ll be covering a range of comics from seasoned pros, to open mic comics booking their first shows. Our goal is to give you a glimpse at who you can expect to see, no matter where you experience live comedy.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PERFORMING STAND UP?
Off and on …..since I’ve been able to talk.
DESCRIBE YOUR MATERIAL/STYLE OF PERFORMING TO SOMEONE WHO HASN’T SEEN YOU
I would compare myself to, basically no one. My style of comedy is my real life situations told from my point of view, in a therapeutic way. Meaning, I get it off my chest. Life can be a beautifully sucky thing.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST EXCITING THING, PERSONALLY, THIS YEAR, ABOUT STAND UP?
I performed for the most skeptical people in my life, my family. The doctor was in that day, I’m here to tell you. The book was open and the read was raw.
CURRENTLY, WHAT’S THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE YOU ARE WORKING TO OVERCOME, IN STAND UP COMEDY?
With so many irons in the fire, I would say consistency. Between family, movies, I own a small business – it’s enough to make your head pop off trying to balance it all.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST COMEDY GOAL FOR THE NEXT YEAR?
To move forward in all my endeavors and to be able to help, heal, and brighten the lives of others, and myself.
WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WISH YOU’D KNOWN BEFORE YOU STARTED PERFORMING?
Not to get wasted before a show.
IF YOU WERE A BEVERAGE, WHAT WOULD YOU BE?
A Harvey Wallbanger. Just because I like the way it sounds.
PICK ANY HORROR MOVIE. HOW WOULD YOU SURVIVE?
Nightmare on Elm Street. One of my faves, and I think I would’ve survived by being Freddie’s friend. Some of the meanest people are just…Mizzunderstood.
DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO PROMOTE?
- Watch out for Uncensored the Stage, a super dope sketch comedy movie, like In Living Color, but the St. Louis version.
- Comedy on the Trolley 10 /11
- A plethora (thanks spell check) of small late night mob related events that I really cant go into detail about.
